Expansion routing and speaker library
Output Routing
This page sets the source of each expansion output (the digital / Dante / card outputs), not the four power-amplifier channels.
Each Expansion Output 1–4 has a Source menu:
| Source group | Choices |
|---|---|
| Analogue | Analogue 1–4 |
| Digital | Digital 1–4 |
| Mix | Mix Bus 1–4 |
| Zone | Zone 1–4 |
Typical uses: a recorder feed, an overflow amplifier, a second rack, or a Dante send that should follow a zone fader rather than a raw input.
Factory default: expansion n = analogue n.
Speaker Library
A speaker library is a Quest .qlb file. It contains series, models, and presets. Each preset holds the processing for that loudspeaker (crossover, up to 15 EQ bands, FIR up to 512 taps, limiter, alignment).
Viewing the loaded library
If nothing is loaded: No Speaker Library Loaded.
Otherwise the page shows Library Name, Library Version, and counts of presets and series. Show Presets expands series → model → preset (the preset UUID is shown as a small avatar).
The same hierarchy is used on the front panel when you pick a preset.
Uploading a library
- Drop a
.qlbfile. Other types are rejected. - The amplifier validates the file first. It is not installed yet.
- If any output is using a preset that is missing from the new file, a confirmation lists those channels and says they will be reset to Flat.
- Confirm to install, or cancel to discard the upload.
- On install, matching presets are re-applied automatically. Missing presets become Flat.
The previous library is replaced. Take a configuration backup first if you may need to go back.
Choosing a preset
Presets are selected per output on Speaker Outputs, not on this page.
