Network

The amplifier can use Ethernet, a Wi-Fi client, a Wi-Fi access point, or a combination. Status pages are available to every signed-in user. Changing addresses requires an administrator.

Changing a static IP restarts the device. Confirm the warning and reconnect at the new address.

Ethernet

  • Static IP Config? off = DHCP (factory default).
  • On: Local IP, Gateway, Subnet, DNS #1 and #2. Addresses must be valid IPv4. The first three fields are required.

Ethernet settings are stored separately from Wi-Fi. A static change needs a restart.

Wi-Fi

Status

WiFi Mode is one of Station (Client), Access Point, Station + AP (Dual Mode), or Disabled.

When a client is connected: SSID, signal ({rssi} dBm, channel), client IP, subnet, gateway.

When the AP is up: AP SSID, optional channel and max connections, AP IP, MAC.

If both are off: WiFi Disabled.

Wi-Fi Client (admin)

  • SSID (max 32) and password (max 64)
  • Optional static IPv4 (same fields as Ethernet)
  • Save
  • Clear Client Details removes the client network and, if nothing else is configured, the radio falls back to AP-only

A change that would move the client IP shows a restart warning.

Wi-Fi Access Point (admin)

  • Access Point Enabled
  • AP SSID (required when saving, max 32)
  • AP Password (8–63 characters in firmware)

Factory default AP: QXD-AP-XXXX / passwordXXXX. See Connecting for the first time.

If the AP is off and no client SSID is stored, Wi-Fi is fully disabled.

Network Time

Shows whether NTP is synchronized, the configured server, local time, UTC, uptime, and timezone.

Discovery

  • mDNS hostname is the sanitised device name, or qxd if the name is empty.
  • The unit advertises _qxd._tcp and _http._tcp on port 80 as QXD Amplifier, with manufacturer Quest Engineering.
