Troubleshooting and reference
Cannot open the web interface
- Confirm the amplifier is powered and the front panel is up.
- Wi-Fi AP: join
QXD-AP-XXXX/passwordXXXXand browse tohttp://192.168.4.1. Read the SSID from Status → WIFI AP (the panel does not show the password). - Ethernet: read the address from Status → Ethernet, or try
http://qxd.local/http://<device-name>.local. - If you set a static IP and then lost the unit, use the front-panel status pages or factory-reset from the panel (Settings → Reset) as a last resort.
- After a firmware update or restore, wait for the reboot (up to about two minutes).
No audio
- Output Mode must be Normal or Bridged, not Off.
- Output and any GPIO mute must be clear.
- Zone source must be the input (or mix, or generator) you expect.
- Output source must be that zone.
- Mix-bus sends default to 0 dB. Unused sends should be at −80 / Mute or they still add signal.
- Input sensitivity must match the source. A +28 dBu setting on a −10 dBV source will look and sound very quiet.
- If a speaker preset is selected, confirm it is the intended model. Flat bypasses speaker processing only.
Meters move but the room is quiet
Check mute, output mode, speaker preset limiter, and that you are listening to the same zone the meters show. Bridged BR channels have no separate level.
EQ or preset “does nothing”
- User EQ must have the band enabled and a type other than Flat.
- Speaker processing lives in the preset, not in the ten user bands.
- Reset Advanced turns user EQ off.
- Zone ducking / priority is not implemented — those controls have no sound.
Library upload failed
- File must be
.qlb. - A large library is validated first, then installed on confirm. Do not power-cycle during Installing speaker library….
- If the new file does not contain a preset an output is using, that output goes Flat when you confirm. The dialog lists those channels.
Firmware update failed or unit did not come back
- Use a Quest
.qfwbuilt for this platform. - Only newer components flash; flashing the same version is a no-op for those parts.
- Wait the full reboot. If the UI never returns, browse the IP from the front panel and try again.
Front panel will not change anything
The panel is locked. Press the encoder and enter the PIN. If you do not know the PIN, a factory reset from the Web UI clears it.
